I drove a couple of hours to hunt some public land today, but found nothing but does and small bucks. Rather than driving farther to check out some other known spots, I decided to head back home and go deer hunting tomorrow, hoping the goats would be left alone enough the next few weeks to return to public land before the end of the season.
About 15 miles from home, I decided to stop in and check on a BMA I hadn't hunted before. I drove in and spotted a herd of 30-40 antelope about a half mile away. There wasn't a good route to sneak them from there, so I drove past them and put about a 1.5 mile sneak on them to get with 85 yards.
Sorry for the so-so pic. In my haste to start the sneak, I forgot my good camera and tripod in the truck so had to make do with the iPhone.
