Finally a rifle with a soul I think I need?

Recently came across the Sako vixen/A1 line. Iffn I could find a PPC sporter model for the right price I think I'd struggle to pass. The factory wood looks like it might be good enough but might be swayed to have a custom stock built. Of course, i couldn't leave well enough alone and it would prob need a new tube chambered in 6 ARC to shoot a bunch of factory ammo.

Iff'n any of you classy rifle guys @ismith @shrapnel have hot tips about where to find such a thing and aren't too turned off by me bastardizing it, please share your tips.

very nice. $4320 starting price for a custom stock might be a deal breaker though. As far as where to find - i was referring to the rifle or even the donor action/bottom metal.

Pretty much the same story for the majority of the custom builders though, right?

Yeah, sorta. But if you know someone... Just sort of depends. The scope and flavor of the project is also important. In some cases, I have done it much like building a house and acting as my own general contractor, while doing some of the work on my own.
