Favorite Leatherman Model

My Secret Santa has a Leatherman tool on his list specifically the Wingman. I'm wanting to replace my aged original Leatherman, and other brand multitools.

At this time I'm not interested in brands other than Leatherman and I'm leaning towards the Sidekick from looking at this review video.

I use the rebar at work and feel like it has everything I need, if I can't do something with that, I should probably be using a better tool for the job anyway.

I have a Surge that is an everyday working tool. I beat the heck out of it daily. It hasn't failed me yet. It's a little heavy but I don't even notice it on my belt. I do notice if it's not there though.

I found a skelatool at an elk kill site, and love it. Especially like that it has a pocket clip and I can just keep it in my pocket.

I run a skeletool in my emergency kit with a few different bits to cover anything that would come up on a hunt.

Exactly!! They kept falling out of my pocket. Lost one to the netting on a xmas tree at the tree farm. Lost another hunting pheasants in SD. And some guy lost one skinning an elk.

Don't trust the pocket clip... great knife though. Metal is very durable and holds an edge.

I have a wingman that’s normally in my pack, I have used the little saw as much as anything else.

If I’m carrying one everyday I have a bond. It’s just the newest version of the original leatherman, nothing fancy and it doesn’t weigh 3 lbs.

I love my Wave. I was talking to my coworker yesterday and he likes the Surge.

Have had several over the years. Still have the 1st and only broken the can opener. Lost a bunch.
