Fatal animal attack?

Kind of early for bears. I wonder if the victim had been feeding wildlife? Odds favor lion, the nearest collared wolf is supposedly alone and 70 miles north of there in Fremont and Custer counties.

Looks like we'll be waiting awhile to figure out what is going on

That's why it took so long....they will never reveal the truth if it was wolves.
I hate to be a conspiracy theorist. But suddenly after the autopsy release, they are claiming that the area is known for feral dogs. Yet never once was that part of a story or mentioned ahead of time. Only after it was released…

What makes it even more interesting is that there are forms of forensic analysis to determine whether a wolf/dog/coyote is responsible for an attack. CSKT gave me authorization to kill any wolf I see on the ranch I live on after they came out to look at a calf that was killed and determined a wolf did it. Only took about an hour for them to make the conclusion. Does Colorado not have access to these kinds of forensics?

That’s about as vague of an article as I think they could put together haha. Basically someone died and nobody knows how. I agree, seems almost intentionally vague

Classic disconfirmation bias. Wolves are friendly creatures who kill only sick and infirm animals, so even if wolves killed her, wolves didn't kill her.

This can’t be the end of this story. As far as I know, it’s not a normal everyday thing for feral dogs to kill and partially consume people in Colorado (yet) so can it just be moved on from - with a shrug - by the authorities. Is there going to be an effort to find the dog(s) before someone else is killed?

Or, maybe, they already know exactly where the “dog” is…. 🤔
