Fatal animal attack?

Kind of early for bears. I wonder if the victim had been feeding wildlife? Odds favor lion, the nearest collared wolf is supposedly alone and 70 miles north of there in Fremont and Custer counties.

If they don’t have an official cause of death, why comment at all?

The cause of death could be something completely different and the corpse was scavenged post mortem.
