Extra rifle

I've done that in the past, but over the years, I've been lucky and only been bringing one rifle.

I hunt close to home so don't take a backup with me but I do have one to go into service if I do need it. If I could afford to hunt out of state, I'd take one for sure. I go farther to hunt birds, have to. Then I always take along a backup shotgun.

Anyone that has hunted with me knows that I hunt hard and trek into places most wouldn't.
Unfortunately sometimes bad things happen. And they for some reason, usually happen to me.
I try to be prepared for what may be on long trips and hunts.
If not an extra rifle, at least a spare scope is stashed along with me always.
Many times a friend ended up needing to borrow it after a bad spill down a slope and was great full for the life saver.
Let you're concense be your guide.

I go out to Wyoming for a couple months every year so I always take three or four with me along my O/U Beretta in case I want to go bird hunting after our tags are filled.
