I hoped 2 points would get me a GEN tag in the Special Draw. It did.

I had max (14) points. Despite late pref purchase changes, delayed draw, and covid there was still point creep. I got lucky and drew the only non res permit available in the regular pool with 25% odds.. thank you Wyoming!

Nada. Looks like more than a full point of creep in the unit I applied in....was kind of hoping for the opposite due to pandemic.

Probably best though, will focus on NM this year

I successfully drew a general tag! This will be my first elk hunt in an area where I've been deer hunting for years. Couldn't be more excited.

Just drew Unit 34, type 1 with 3 non-resident points. Had only 8% odds based on my 3 points for this limited entry unit. Stoked, it will be my first elk hunt EVER... lots of work/research to do!!!

You are going to find access difficult at best. Get some landowner info and start making calls or find out what outfitters have leases there. Some elk available on Forest in Sept during archery, too.

I've antelope hunted out there. If you actually drew the tag it shouldn't be too difficult of a hunt.
