It was a first season hunt, as you can see there was a pretty significant snow right before season that was melting while we were up there.Which season, 1st -4th or Late Rifle?
Awesome bull2016 Wasatch Utah late elk hunt. Sixth day, three miles in from the road with an elevation change of around 2500 feet. One of my favorite hunts ever, but it's true that sometimes the punishment for elk hunting is elk hunting.
I love this.the punishment for elk hunting is elk hunting.
The best part of elk hunting is being in the beauty of nature. The worst part is the hard work nobody ever sees.I love this.

You got that right!Might be hard to top this pic no matter how big the thread gets! (p.s. I was born in 73....)
Good luck. I hunted it the last two, with a buddy that’s been going there like 23 years straight. If I go back, it’s for Archery Antelope. Lol just try to have fun and don’t beat yourself up about the elk.. if you plan on fishing the lake at all best to bring plenty of baits well ahead of time not wait til your there. LolAwesome pictures I’m excited I drew my first elk permit in the montana breaks 621 looking forward to my first elk
