Wow, what a ram!

lets see this year i went 14days bow hunting no elk (tried new unit my normal area on fire) and 6days with a rifle no elk, 2 days with a front end loader no elk..

Great ram!! That will be the 3rd largest ram taken in that unit and biggest since 1990. Congrats Bryan. I didn't believe there was a ram that big in that unit. Do you remember the age Kurt?

He ended up with a 163 ram, very heavy and 12-13 years old, lots of character. He shot it on the 25th day of the hunt, Christmas Day. He took 4 other B&C caliber animals this past season, Canadian Moose, mtn lion, brown bear, and grizzly bear.

I have hunted elk since i was 12 and i was 18, and i have yet to seen a elk during the season, or shoot one yet. it sucks

For me 17 days. Some seasons are hit and miss. I suppose it really depends on where your hunting. Being in the right place at the right time never hurt either!
