Thanks for sharing. I'll try it with venison since we were without an elk tag this year.

Maybe some of the cheese heads can recommend the optimal cheese for your dish. There's probably lots of complexity in that decision.

Most are block Tillamook guys.... shred themselves .... f@#$kn elitist

I threw this together at lunch, I don't think, I eat.

Lettuce was still crunchy and it's veggies so that's that.

I threw whatever was in the fridge in it: chicken, bacon, salsa, Frank's Red Hot, tons of cheddar cheese, sour cream and Cool Ranch Doritoes.

You're definitely onto something with the chicken bacon ranch or ceasar wrap. I might give that a try next.

For the lettuce haters, I'll make sure to post pictures of my next one... extra lettuce... or spinach!!!

whoa whoa whoa Bro-ski. I too am a veggie and salad lover. But the lettuce in the Gordita... it just felt an identity crisis. A deviation on what a thing is supposed- even meant to be. A border line violation of some universal law... a little like fruiting the beer.
