Dream Hunts

What would be your dream Big Game hunt?

What would you wish to hunt, and where?

I think a brown bwear hunt in Alaska is tops right now, followed by sheep.

Sheep
Lion
Mt Goat

#1.....Africa of course for whatever but mainly a Cape Buffalo

#2......Elk....anywhere..even behind a fence

and with anything(bow,rifle)


#3......Bear...anywhere...with a bow

#4......Caribou.....anywhere ...1 with bow and 1 with rifle

#5......Moose....Maine...with rifle

2. Africa for plains game, expecially Gemsbok and Kudu
3. Mountain sheep of any kind
4. Alaska for a coastal brown
5. Whitetail with a bow, doesn't matter where (that is the most exciting fun I've had yet)

2. lion hunt with a call and getting a shot

3. bobcat with a call and getting a shot

5. Black bear with a bow(but thats going to happen in june)

6. cariboo gun and or bow(planning on that in 2004 or 2005)

7.Wouldnt mind going back to texas for an audad or oryx

Goat/sheep combo in BC or Alaska. I was just looking at my paycheck stub, and it laughed at me.

I've been trying for a Desert Sheep permit for 21 years! But I've already had many dream hunts, so I feel very fortunate.

Well maybe 2003 will be the year for your Desert Sheep Ithaca. Hopefully #22 is your lucky #.

Although it sounds like a cake walk... SOMEDAY I'd like to hunt Musk OX. I'd like a full size mount of one. I saw one at a convention dinner once and Really thought it looked cool. Of course it would have snow on the mount and the 2 wolves that I killed on the trip chasing it as well

Other then that I'd like to do alot of stuff.... A goat or sheep hunt like AK would be cool too !!!!

My dream is to spend the summer and fall in the Alaska wilderness. I hope to be supported by a bush pilot who will drop supplies off every so often and augment that by what I take from the wild. Maybe convince a friend or two to drop in ocasionally. I hope they like the taste of ptarmigan and arctic greyling.

I want to fly to the far reaches of the Tik-Chik Lakes and canoe back to Dillingham. Hunt moose and bear along the way. Then hunt the Mulchatna herd from a drop camp.

Then I want to meet my wife in Hanes and cruise the inland passage to Bellingham WA. Maybe make a stop along the way to hunt dall sheep or mountain goats.

My dream hunt would be in Alaska..I would have tags for:
Moose
Coastal Brown bear
Black bear
Caribou
Dall sheep

I would hunt for months and the days I took off from hunting I would fish..I would hunt the coastal brown and black bears from a boat while dining on King crab and halibut.. Oh man what a time!

My 2nd choice would be for an African Safari which includes lots of plains game and a Cape Buff, lion and leopard.
