One more reason that you shouldn't move to Montana from the big city. We are "pathetic" because we allow people in some places to burn their leaves. So much for wanting a quiet life with less stress. The funny thing is that leaf burning usually only takes place a couple of days a year. I bet this guy can't figure out why he has no friends in a small "friendly" Montana town.

Open burning pollutes Yellowstone County air
Hoping for a slower pace of life with less stress, I moved to the small town of Custer last spring.
Now, I find that I have learned the health aspects of living in small town Montana are of a worse quality than the smog-laden areas such as L.A. or Missoula. For example, on Nov. 7, so much burning of yard debris was taking place that the visibility in this town was actually less than a city block at dusk. This made ones eyes burn and water, to say nothing of severely irritating my personal asthmatic condition. On Nov. 8, conditions were only slightly better at dusk.
Such abuse of our human rights and indignations is a severe violation of both state and federal laws regarding air quality standards. But to remain in Montana to live leaves us at the mercy of such abuses of many kinds due to the established fact that Montana is rated as hosting the sixth most corrupt government of these individual states. I personally, profoundly believe that Yellowstone County is the worst of the counties within this state.
So we have extreme health hazards created to cause us illnesses unlawfully, while we host a government that illegally refuses to enforce any law unless one pays a Bar Association member to get justice for him/her.
People of Montana, those of you who are the cause of these factors are pathetic. You whine over barroom smoking, yet permit these more severe, wholesale pollutions to exist. Wake up.
