Hey Everybody,

On my first podcast with Randy we talked a lot about a self-guided drop hunt I did with my Dad in Alaska.

Here's Part 1 of that series:
http://orioncoolers.com/diy-alaskan-caribou-hunting-adventures-part-1-getting-there/

all the way to Part 8:

Part 8 has links to Parts 1-7 as well.

These articles cover everything from planning to packing to transport to the hunt to getting meat and ourselves home. Any questions, please post here and happy to try to answer.

Thanks for sharing your hunt, lots of helpful information in there.

I am no longer with Orion and sorry that the website was pulled down and all of my articles were lost. So instead yesterday I made a video of my hunt. Hopefully it will still be helpful to some and I'll work on finding a new site to host the 8 part article series

Excellent video! I would like to do a hunt like this someday. I was surprised to see you guys blast away so quickly in the hunt but it made sense when the herd moved on. Nice use of the meat tripods. Not alot of meat pole materials up there. I also would like to read the articles if made available in order to gain more detail on the hunt.

Questions: Did you guys run in to any bears up there? What gun were you guys using?

Damon when are you hunting with Randy together. You are great hunting personality and it would be fun to watch you guys bow hunt musk ox and caribou in Greenland. Hope things are good and miss your adventures on the podcast. By the way are you going to do any blood tracking dog videos for this platform. Well cheers 👍
