Some really nice mule deer. Shame what’s happened to them over All the last 50 some years. The elk are doing well it seems

Was going to post this in "one that got away"......but that would be not quite true.

Cropped pic from my crappy cell while I was packing elk. Nice old ram with a very red coloring.

Next year looking for the red ram.....yes, I had drawn the tag!

Found him...

After several hours of closing the distance....I missed him! Clean miss, arrow zipped right over his back.....

Several days later....he wasn't so lucky.

2018 WY. Was able to find him in the summer in person and on trail cam, got him opening day of rifle, then a buddy completed the story for me a few weeks later by finding the broken side.
