Despite my tireless attempts at being mediocre, I somehow managed to accidentally convince The Carpet People (aka "Upper Management") that I was capable of greater things. I was informed of promotion yesterday. So, starting May 1 I assume the burdensome title of "Chief Engineer" at the TV station.

What worries me is that now I'm one of them. Will I bring fresh, wide-eyed idealism to the Carpet, or will I be subtroverted into a liberal media parrot? Will I forgo my bunny killing for bunny hugging? Most importantly, will there be cookies? ;)

I guess now I get to find out just how much of a politician I am.

Way to go Darren, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart...
It will be hard to just stumble along and hide from reality now.... ;) :D
You could start your own reality TV show...
As the Moosie Turds.... OR
The Day's of our Moosies board...Or
Survivor Moosie SI section gone bad!!!
:D :D :D

Congrats to you man....Make the most of it...

I thought you worked at a TV station not for the railroad?!?!?!?!?!?
No, it's usually me who gets railroaded. ;)

Thanks for the well-wishes, guys. If I'm lucky I'll bring a fresh perspective to a tired department; if not, well, there's always the garbage-collection business. :D

CORPORATE SCUM!

j/k, congrats

*EDIT- I just noticed that this is my 100th post. which means I am a mere 14,900 short of elkchsr and about 18,300 short of elk hunter.*

WOW!!! Didn't know such a thing as Cheif Engineer existing in KY since Dave Crockett moved the settlers in!!! ;) Congrats and good luck!!!

BTW, can you hook me up with one of the anchor ladies, their hot and I'll be in the area this weekend!!!! :D

Er...that would be Daniel Boone.
And I didn't know we had Injun Chiefs around here anymore, either, until one showed up recently protesting a local mine expansion on behalf of the Cherokee Nation.

As for anchor wimmen, well, I think you know where one lives. Or lived. Or something like that. :D Me, I'll be neck deep in turkeys and shooting fast by this weekend. ;)
