My first, had went elk hunting for the weekend. Got home and I found a bunch of deer sign literally in my parents back yard. Dad and I made a quick hunt and this was the result.

My first whiteail, was with my mom and aunt. Tons of fun seeing their reactions when I shot and he went down.

2004 whitetail, last day of the season hunting with my cousin. He got a nice buck first thing in the morning and I got this one right at the end of the day. Saw tons of bucks this day, rut was in full swing; unfortunately the really big ones we saw were on property we didn't have permission on.

2006 Muley, I badly misjudged this buck, but I'm still really happy with him. Far and away the biggest body of any deer I've ever handled.

Here's my first and my son's first.. 29 years apart to the day

I don't think I like you or your son very much. A couple nice 'starter' bucks, I guess.

I don't think I have a single picture of me with a dead deer. Unbelievable that I never took enough care to make sure I had a camera with me. My success rate isn't quite that of some others on the board though.

Some great deer and pics guys. Here is a few from Australia. We are very lucky in that we can hunt pretty much all year long with no tags or restrictions on most species.

A malform red stag i roared into 15m and culled out of the herd.

An older deer with age, shared this camp with 'Huntfit' great days on the hill up in his patch of dirt.

Shot this sambar at close range in the rain.

A big mountain bike ride, then a backpack in got me into some good country.
