Deer - lets see em

Found a pretty good one at our family deer camp in northern Minnesota. Came into 13 yards, which is my shortest shot on a deer if I my memory serves me.

I think if your friend targeted these guys his drinking problem would go from slight to severe.
I've done over 50 sits on my 84 acres and have not laid eyes on either one. YET.

Had to do an aweful lot of looking this year to find a good one but after about 23 full days or after week evening hunts, I found a solid buck.

I was able to connect with my biggest buck so far this year in NW Montana. Definitely exceeded my expectations seeing as I was in a meat crisis.

Yeah, another deer photo. But its more a commentary.
35 years ago I met my friend on a construction site. That year he loaned me his 7mm to hunt bears. We have made a point of trying to hunt a few days together each year since. Good dude. Learned to hunt and fish on the Upper Peninsula. Vietnam vet. Makes knives. Horseman(notice the missing thumb ).
He fills all his tags, every year.
I've got friends of all ages, some older, many far younger than me. Starting to really appreciate all of that. So you guys get a picture of two crusty old effers.
