This call came in last year. The episode was filmed in early September of 2014. It will premiere on Sportsman Channel, tonight.

Watched the episode, man I have been hunting here since 2010 and haven't had any luck. Then again this will be my first year using a bow so maybe... I think the north slope from China meadows, west toward Whitney reservoir. Maybe up around Bear lake, or even in the Echo/Henefer area's... Got a bull tag and a cow tag, so hope to get atleast one!

Cant win em all.... it had to be exhilarating having the opportunities you had. It was for me just watching it.

I usually record and watch them in the morning prior to leaving for work. Bad thing is my wife always has something to talk about as she is getting ready to leave.... I just give her the deaf look, hit pause, answer her or nod in agreement then hit play again. Thank God for dvr.

p.s. don't get me wrong I love her but she is NOT a hunter so it's hard for her to understand my passion for it.

Given how much I am gone during the year; filming 10-12 hunts, then trade shows in the winter, sponsor travels in the off season, I just cannot justify being away from home another week on a personal hunt. There are times I would love to just head out the door with nothing but a pack and a rifle, but that is not the path I've chosen.

With this hunt, I had actually planned on hunting another day or two, but I got a call that my wife was in the hospital that night, so the morning after the big evening of hail, rain, and thunderstorms, we packed it up and headed out. Hard to be away from home when your wife needs you. And reality is, that is much more important than a TV show.

I came home the next day and she was then out of the hospital, but ended up having surgery the following week. That also changed my Wyoming pronghorn hunt from five days to two days, needing to get back the day before her surgery. She wasn't feeling real good, but she knows my passion for pronghorn, so she insisted I try to sneak in a short hunt before her surgery. She is the most tolerant and supportive person this ugly face could have ever latched on to.

That said, to keep her being tolerant and supportive, if I am away from home, cameras will be following along. Hope that make sense.

Big Fin, thanks for the reply. Wasn't trying to be too nosey. That makes perfect sence and I commend you for trying to keep you life in balance. I'm sure it never quite feels that way but the rest of us benefit from it. If I ever get a chance to meet you in person I hope to buy you a beer, shake your hand and say thanks.
