Hill Country's prices seem all over the place. I'm pretty close to the same pice for a rebarrel/ action true.To get an idea of what some smiths are charging for Remington and Tikka packages, look at the Hill Country Rifles Deluxe Accurizing package (Remington) and the Hells Canyon Armory Tikka Carbon Killer package.
Other stuff seems way high. They charge $250 to thread a muzzle, $400 to provide and install a brake, and $400 to cerakote the barreled action. $750 to chamber a customer provided barrel.
I'm trying to figure out where the pricing comes from for the accurizing package. Is the additional grand from mounting a scope and shooting some groups with it?
Do their rifles come with hard cases, load development, or a nice BJ maybe? 7k for what they're doing seems unreasonable.
6-7 months unless complete rifle is in stockAnd ask about their waiting list.
