Gastro Gnome - Eat Better Wherever

Cruz is Out

I hope I don't have to hear his preachy fake personality anymore. He can go eat boogers until his heart is content..

This Texan is glad that Canuck is out of the race. I'll keep my public lands, thank you very much.

Not much public land to be found in TX.

What an astute observation you made there!

Now to be clear, I am a Texan, that lives in a western state with a fair amount of public land (not that it matters, since its public and belongs to ALL of the people in the U.S.). I'll always be a Texan, born and raised. Too proud to assume some false identity in a foreign land I suppose lol

Yeah, but . . . Texas. Nuf said.

On another point, Rs have stepped up and done the honorable thing in slapping the establishment, their Party, and the corporate media. Some Ds are *trying* to do the same thing but their system is rigged even worse. They need some R help. If you can, cross over during the primaries and vote Sanders. You can always vote Trump in the General. It's just that "we the people" need to rally around this one issue, this one time: Screw the establishment, screw the Parties, and screw the corporate media. Ds need help. Clinton should be stopped at all costs. Even if you might think Sanders poses a greater threat to Trump than Clinton, please look at the bigger picture, which is our common enemy (establishment, Parties, Corp Media). Besides, Trump or Sanders, it's only 4, and at the most, 8 years. Do your patriotic duty and help the Ds stop Clinton the way the Rs stopped their shills. And no, the math is not impossible. That's just what the corporate media and the D Party want you to think. If it's any incentive, I, and many other liberals I know, intend to vote Trump if Sanders get's squeezed out by the Party.
Absolutely!

Bold #1, who do you think has been funding the establishment? http://www.npr.org/sections/itsallp...68/donald-trumps-flipping-political-donations

Bold #2, That is argument enough to prove that the Donald isn't a true conservative, IMO.

Carry on with the TX/Cruz bashing....

#1. There is a world of difference between those who buy politicians and the politicians who can be bought. When the former becomes a politician he is less likely to become the latter. Especially if he was not elected by those who buy politicians.

#2. Define "true conservative." I agree that Trump is not the xenophobic, misogynistic, racist bigot that everyone makes him out to be. Nor is he likely to care if you are gay, kill your fetus, smoke pot, or what god you pray to. He's probably all about minding your own business and not being a high class muscle man for Big Business. He's just trolling the corporate media and all the folks who are dumb enough to think he's *not* trolling. If that means he's not a "true conservative" then I reckon that is a good thing, IMO. That kind of "true conservative" is should never be in power and if that part of the R Party is dead now, good riddance, I say.

I really don't think this election cycle so far has told us about political principles, values or issues for the most part. I just think it is purely anti-establishment driving the train. Who really knows the picture we have been painted is real or what others want us to believe is real. I am by no means a conspiracy theorist but between the media and politicians in general anymore there are none. I would hang my hat on.

The idea of selling off public lands to pay down the national debt has ever resonated with me for several of my own selfish wants but at it's very basic core there is nothing in our history that tells me our government wouldn't go right back to overspending until we are right back where we are only with no public lands.

Time will tell on it all, I frankly don't feel any of them represent me.

There was a pretty good movie "The Iron Cross" and a phrase at the end of the movie has always stuck with me.

And I do paraphrase " Do not rejoice in their defeat, fore the bitch that bore them is back in heat"

Yea, I was born in Texas but I would never brag about that.

Well I'd never brag about being a socialist, I guess some folks just have different points of view. Some like the government stealing from some and giving to lazy folks that don't provide anything for society....some dont.

Some like to point out senseless things, some dont.

Some of us hate to see the rich and multi-billion dollar corporations getting all the breaks at the expense of us working stiffs.

Harry feels your pain....

Exactly. They haven't been good for anything, they let Obama have everything he wanted. That's why we now have Trump as our nominee. Hopefully this country can be turned around.

Define "everything" in the context of proposed gun laws?

I don't think they Dems are far behind in their Trump moment, you can see it with Bernie. More and more voters don't fit into the establishments boxes anymore.

Let's look at the falling wages since Obama took office. We'll stick to the facts and see how many of us are better off today than in 2008 as a byproduct of this allegedly great recovery...

Here is the world as I see it... Obama has been a failed President economically and in international affairs. But the Republicans have had either the Presidency or both houses of Congress for something like 28 of the last 32 years, does anybody think they've done an excellent job either?

Both parties are ruining our country.

A friend of mine who emigrated here from Rhodesia and got US citizenship may have said it best when he asked, "Would the country have been better off if the last plane had hit the Capitol Building on 9/11?" Certainly, he didn't mean it should have happened; but the question as to whether starting over with all new political leaders would be ultimately beneficial, I think, is a fair one.
