Welcome to HT. IIRC, only licensed outfitters in CO are allowed to hire out for packing service. Time to make some friends w horses/mules. i think the Garveys outfit in 61, among many others. Love that unit, good luck.

After a short hiatus our group is headed out this fall too.
Waiting for points to work was a learning curve for a couple guys. They couldn’t understand why they weren’t able to apply with the group. In the past 8-9 guys rotated in and out of the camp, 3 never opting out of a trip.

Our group drew 5) 2nd season Rifle Elk. We have a couple Resident Bull tags as well. Half the group are first time Elk Hunters, this will be fun, if nothing else!

Well, it’s all coming together. We leave tomorrow at noon.
Wish me luck with 2 first time elk hunters. They’re great guys and have a good attitude.
Only stupid thing they’ve said is they hope we get 3 bulls down the first day.
