Our drive-in (not pack in) solution is heavy and bulky, but oh so nice. It is a Davis Tent 16x20. Plenty of room for 6, their stuff and table area to play some cards.

One of those "dudes" was my oldest daughter - I am sure there were smells and behaviors she cannot easily forgetThat's a lot of room also a lot of dudes in a confined area...bet that camp doesn't need much of a stove just some @JohnCushman Pozole to fire up the jet engines
As a sidebar, a coworker's buddy has gone through 3 Alaknak tents this year due to wind. I don't know if it was a setup error, strength issue, or what but eventually the Idaho Falls Cabela's would not allow him another and gave him his money back.
That looks pretty nice. Doesn't look like Nemo sells that model anymore. My Nemo tent is great! It’s not free standing. Nor is it a hot tent.... I use a propane heater in it. I am looking into putting a stove Jack in it. Only weighs about 14 lbs with out the stakes. I use it backpacking with my goats and for truck camping.

This inspires me.I went to buy a used wall tent this summer and the guy was also selling a 12x12 tipi style canvas tent, it was custom made but is almost identical to the Montana canvas range tent. Obviously I had to come home with both. Between a 14x17 MT canvas, a military arctic tent, 8 man kifaru, and the cimarron, for truck camping this is by far my favorite. Set up by myself in about 20min. Probably less than 50 lbs and room for two cots with the wood stove. I used it last weekend down to -14 by myself and it was a very comfortable setup.
It's only money and you wouldn't have to store it.I'd love to buy a camper but I don't have a spot for storage nor can I always get it where I want to use it. This is for truck camping so weight isn't necessarily a dealbreaker. If possible, I'd like to take it on a raft (I run a 14' NRS) down an easy river.
They don’t but look up Nemo dark timber tent and there are a couple of places that still have them in stock, I just looked it up on google. That looks pretty nice. Doesn't look like Nemo sells that model anymore.
I've considered a slide in...then did their build setup and it came out to $30kIt's only money and you wouldn't have to store it.
