I hunt coyotes for predator management in multiple areas. A couple spots are loaded with turkeys and the coyotes definitely hunt them heavily.

Has anyone ever tried setting up decoys and mimicking a flock and a wounded turkey. Scratching? Wings? Calls?

I like trying weird shit. No Jason, not that. 😂

I think you’d want something with movement, like a thrashing, injured bird. Maybe attach a wing to Mojo or some such?

I dusted a young coyote circling around a behind a flock in Kansas last year. Herter’s TSS out of my 20gauge SBEIII was very effective, not even a quiver.

I have a spinning decoy… I think I’ll attach some wing to it and see what happens! Great idea!!

I love hunting coyotes. I love hunting anything. In this case I love calling and such. I actually love trying new stuff. Better in the field than on the couch.
Absolutely right. I bet it would work in the right situation.

Maybe it will scare the yote away from the actual turkeys if I eff it up! 😂
