Couple questions.

New Barrel, 6.5 Creedmoor.

Broke the barrel in with 30 rounds. Shoot clean, shoot clean etc...

Getting great groups with my reloads.

Notice heavy copper fouling at the last 2" of the barrel.

I have cleaned with hoppe's copper remover and can get about 90% of the copper but keeps coming back.

The question I have is what is your thoughts on using a brass brush on the bore to remove the copper?

What could cause this to quickly Copper up at the end of the bore?

Load Data: 140 Gr Hornandy HPBT Match, 2670 - 2700 FPS.

Does it still shoot good with the fouling? If so, dont worry about it.

What kind of barrel is it?

I would have no concerns about using a brass brush with non-abrasive cleaning compounds.

If no accuracy issues keep on shooting it. I would probably keep cleaning the copper out to keep from getting it too fouled.

Good chance the factory didn't polish the barrel evenly and you have some texture in the last few inches. Shooting it should smooth it out, or you could study up on using bore paste to polish it up. And I don't mind brass brushes for GP cleaning, but they don't jive well with copper
removers. Id try stiff nylon with copper chemicals
