If the bore fouls like that from 3 proof rounds I can imagine a 5 shot group really coppering it up. The factory would have to foul it before air gauging, but wouldn't that normally be done before a barrel is rifled?Will have to see how the fowling is after I shoot a few rounds through it. I can shoot right out my back door and then view the fouling immediately. Good idea on using a copper inhibiting powder!
Nope! Haven't run a round through it yet but that will happen very soon.
I purposely did not mention the manufacturer of the rifle. I started this thread because I have never seen this kind of fouling and wanted to know if others had. What I didn't want is this post to turn into a brand bashing as every manufacturer can have an issue now and then.
You definitely need to shoot more!
I'd like to use an air gauge to verify the bore diameter from the throat to the muzzle! If it really has a tight middle, I'm sure that the manufacturer will do just that.
