Copper fouling on a new rifle has me puzzled??

Will have to see how the fowling is after I shoot a few rounds through it. I can shoot right out my back door and then view the fouling immediately. Good idea on using a copper inhibiting powder!

Nope! Haven't run a round through it yet but that will happen very soon.

I purposely did not mention the manufacturer of the rifle. I started this thread because I have never seen this kind of fouling and wanted to know if others had. What I didn't want is this post to turn into a brand bashing as every manufacturer can have an issue now and then.

You definitely need to shoot more!;)(y)

I'd like to use an air gauge to verify the bore diameter from the throat to the muzzle! If it really has a tight middle, I'm sure that the manufacturer will do just that.
If the bore fouls like that from 3 proof rounds I can imagine a 5 shot group really coppering it up. The factory would have to foul it before air gauging, but wouldn't that normally be done before a barrel is rifled?
