Contacts and Hunting

Had contacts. For me the ones you can sleep in were a better deal for hunting. Just crack open a fresh pair right before the hunt. And have spares. Always have/wear sunglasses. Cuts down on the dust/grime that gets in them.

5 years ago I had Lasik. Best money I've ever spent. Even better than the vasectomy... If you can afford it and are a candidate, I strongly suggest you do it. So much nicer and convenient.

My wife works in optometry. Between the daily stories of people gashing and cutting their eyes, and my propensity to find the nastiest brush holes I can, I'll gladly sacrifice having to de-fog my glasses in order to have that added eye protection.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Good information all around. I'm having a difficult time with putting something in my eyes. Two body parts I protect violently. My eyes and you can guess the other two.

End goal is Lasik, but for now I will pursue contacts. Deer season is 5 months away, so I'll have time to get used to them.

Thanks again for the input.
