Southern Elk...I have spent hours (days) studying google earth and several day hikes so far into CR 340, 345 and 350 south of South Fork. A million ATVs on those roads, just looking for area at least 1/2 mi off roads to scout this summer.

I was surfing this site, and happened to read your post regarding anyone being from Rio Grande County.
I live West of Monte Vista, in the mountain foothills. My ranch is surrounded on 3 sides by Federal lands.
I have horses/mules/burros for packing and goofing off with. I also drew a muzzleloader permit for this Fall. How about you?
