CO Mountain Lion Ballot Initiative: Continuous Updates

It looks like momentum and representation is gaining to defeat this!

I thought this was timely and well-done. Sort of puts all this in perspective, the ramifications of these issues. Regardless of the outcome of Prop 127 election, these folks aren’t going to stop in their quest to eliminate hunting. They have too much money and too many full-time employees.

I went through my list of people who I gave game meat to over the last couple years, about 20 people. Most were already voting no, but I caught a couple people who weren't going to vote on 127 and got commitments for a "No" vote from them. Still a few people who haven't voted out there who can be on the good side of this issue.

I guess YouTube thinks I live in Colorado. I got a vote yes ad with a video of a couple guys shooting a lion out of a tree with a handgun.

Really dumb outsider question. Is the voted on Tuesday? Sorry for my ignorance
Colorado has mail-in ballots, so people have been sending them in for weeks now. However, anyone can vote in-person on Tuesday at a polling station (if they already mailed in a ballot or lost theirs, the in-person ballot will be the one that is counted).

When compared to underwhelming opposition to wolf reintro, our responses to the cat ballot BS have been impressive overall. Several national orgs have joined the fray, including one that was silent on wolves (BHA). Retailers Cabelas and Bass Pro emailed opposition to 127 to their mail lists. HOWL and Coloradans for Responsible Wildlife Management have both grown their organizations in opposition. We've been active in opposition on social media, and even discussions @ Halloween parties (brilliant, @ammo}. I have a good feeling about beating this, this time, and in the process learning how to organize our collective political voice. Thanks to all who took on the challenge to make a difference. Win or lose in CO today, we aren't finished. Big threats remain to our sport and public lands.
