Thanks @nrpate05 appreciate the help! I applied first rifle and used a point. Wasn’t really sure what I was doing so it’s been lots of learning. I will check out the Atlas for sure and the podcast. I have been watching his YouTube very helpful. I have been finding that out. Just going to the range the other day was way more exciting now that I’m going elk hunting. Thanks again for reaching out and I hope you have a chance to get out this year.

Make lots of alternate plans. What looks steep and tough but doable on maps and google earth may be a cliff. If it’s easy in a otc unit, plan on having company. Get there early, stay late and go deep. Set your expectations on the experience and not on the kill, and you’ll have a great time.
