Anyone used one they like in the real world? Friend of mine struggling between 10mm Sig and Model 29. Model 29 is free, big advantage, but if not deployable? I have a Bianchi shoulder holster, but pretty tight. Maybe I just need to work it more.

I found this holster very comfortable backpacking and upland bird hunting.
That's the one I use. Really nicely made and don't even know you have it on. The only downside is if you have your bino harness on. The bino harness tends to restrict access to the pistol.

I have used the Kenai Chest holster for both a S&W revolver and a Sig 226. It works well and sits underneath and partially below my AGC bino harness. To me this is the ultimate location to carry when backpacking as it provides quick access. Quality product with modular flexibility because you can buy additional holster sleeves to fit a variety of handguns. Hope this helps...

Actually it's NW Retentions and @Backofbeyond for the win. Kydex exterior, but leather lined so it doesn't eat up the blueing.

Thanks man. He was worried about chewing up the finish on a classic revolver. And, I understand that leather lining might not be great in Alaska, but we're in Montana.

As a follow-up, the NW Retentions worked out great with the bino harness. Starline Brass and Hammer Bullets have arrived, waiting on dies.
