My opinion actually manage the wildlife. Hunters will kill everything. Private will profit as much as they can. Hell if I owned a mountain I would too. But it actually has to be managed. Which it is not

I think this is inaccurate. Any guide service worth its salt, will 1000% not over harvest. Example buddy outfits on a Spanish land grant in AZ. He is extremely judicious with how many hunters get on every year, if he killed off all the big elk/deer that frequented the land he would be in business for 1 season…

They are a business. So yes they make money. You can’t make money selling Rag horn or forkie hunts though… gotta have something people want to buy

There’s a ton of outfitting businesses that make a living selling rag horns and small bucks. Check out a lot of outfitter websites in Montana.
