Conservationists Against Suburban White Women Wildlife Saviors

Tis the season of baby animals.
If you believe in conservation, you have a duty to actively combat the savior complex, which can be found anywhere but is inarguably predominant in the demographic stated above.

If you are in a neighborhood Facebook group, the posts are imminent or have already started.
Quail “abandoned” the eggs in her yard and she’s asking how to “save” them?

Deer fawn is “all alone” in the back yard?

Don’t be shy to speak up. Let her know she isn’t a doe. She isn’t a quail hen. She is ill equipped to mother baby wildlife.
Make sure she understands that many wildlife species are game species with state laws protecting them. Most bird species are protected by federal law.
Don’t be afraid to cite them with links or even call law enforcement if needed.

I once turned someone in for removing an owl from the wild that needed “saving”. USFWS made a great example of the person.

Together we can reduce the number of kidnapped wild animals.

(This post is half tongue in cheek but definitely half not )

And with all the people here in Montana that aren't Montanans it's even worse. mtmuley

As a cis white male if the opportunity presents itself I’m going to be keeping a baby raccoon.

A dog can't even leave its yard around here. Women will pick it up and take a picture of it in their car. They will then post the picture on Facebook saying they found a lost dog. All the while the dog was never lost, and the owners don't know what the hell happened to it.
Animal control saw my dog 75 yards out the back yard sniffing around in an empty lot like he does 4 or 5 times a day. We let him out off leash and he minds his boundaries just fine. Guy pulled over and called and clapped him the next 75 yards and then called me and told me he found him lost.
I’m glad he’s taking his job seriously snd doing his best to get animals home, but that seemed excessive.

This exact thing happened to me. I was loading up my truck to go hunting, dog (female) was out with me and making her rounds on my property, disappeared. Lady picked my dog up on at the corner of my property (one big city lot), called animal control, animal control picked my dog up at the lady's house, and took my dog to the pound. My boys (at the time) found the dog on a social media post, and we went down to the pound and got her back. The folks at the pound lectured me on my dog being loose in the neighborhood. I was so pissed ... my wife had to step in and send me to the car and then get the dog back. I probably would have been put in jail I was so pissed. I told them the lady (who they would not give me her name and address) stole my dog out of my yard and I asked them ... what were they going to do about it? I learned to let it go (can you tell). These people who think they are doing "good". If they would just leave things alone ... if it isn't yours ... leave it alone.

Had one over zealous city employee in a blue city municipality, threaten to capture my dog who was sitting inthe front yard....without his leash on. After a few choice words from me he decided to move on.
