Carrie Underwood

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Country music SUCKS. I don't care who is singing. I took my wife to the state fair years ago for her to see Willie Nelson and Tammy Wynette. We left early. A few years ago I took her to a Reba concert. 12th row. I almost tolerated it but mainly tried to block out the noise. I liked her in Tremors and watched her TV show but I draw the line at singing. End of the old hippie rant. ;)

I have always liked Carrie Underwood's voice.

Singers that get the radio switched instantly include

Carly Simon

Dionne Warwick

Reba

Diana Ross

Bob Dylan

Joni Mitchell

Judy Collins

John Denver

Neal Sedaka

Yeah, I'm old and listen to a lot of oldies.
Judy Collins sang the best version of “Someday Soon”.

Never cared much for Carrie one way or the other, but she had grace under pressure and performed beautifully.

Reba, either, but she was at a concert for the military and extremely nice to my daughter, who was doing photos for the Base newspaper, as was Toby Keith, RIP. They both talked to her a long time about deployments and the stress on military families.

So, she's good people in my book.

As much as it pains me to say it… grunge is now on the classic rock stations.

Truth! I dont listen to the radio much but caught Pearl Jam on the classic rock station recently and had to check the dial quick to make sure it was where I thought. Not complaining, pearl jam wails.
