Can you make phone calls over Starlink?

I noticed many good comments on here from Starlink customers. I'm interested to know if you can make phone calls over the link since it includes a router that I assume includes WiFi capabilities. I know most cell phones these days are capable of WiFi calling. What about delay since the signal is bouncing off satellites? This also assumes the Starlink network is connected to the Public Switched Telephone Network.

Use it everyday for that. Sometimes much of the day. Rarely - id get dropped calls - but thats been 2+ years ago.

Starlink is fundamentally different than other existing sat internet options (in how it works) theres a lot less latency/lag - i wouldnt worry at all about it and i suspect you might be comparing it to traditional sat internet.

Starlink has been awesome at my house where I have struggled with reliable internet and phone service for 25+ years. My phone service was so bad I even sued USWest in a case action lawsuit and won in the late 1990s....but that's a story for a different day. Once I confirmed Starlink was good to go with speeds similar to what MTGomer posted we dropped our land line for phone service and our Centrystink internet as well as our our Dish Network. I make ton of calls all on WiFi calling and never drop. The system has been 100% reliable in all weather conditions at my house in the mountains of Colorado. The Starlink receiver has a built in heater to melt snow! You may not like Elon but is internet service is a 10/10.

Starlink at our house we moved to was hame changer. No cell service at all and no cable options at all. Got Starlink and WIFI calling. Super fast everything and awesome service WIFI calling.

Thats faster than any of the landlines we have here.

I'm going to get the service, I can't wait to work from my travel trailer all summer long.
