I hate those hornets! I have been attacked at the top of the tree many times! 15 hits in the face in seconds leaves little to be desired. Nice pic though!

I was attacked when I was stream fishing for brook trout with my grandmother when I was about 7 years old. I had to run through a big and thick patch of thorny Blackberry bushes to escape from them. Sting welts and deep thorn scratches on my hands, arms, face, head and legs. 50 years later and I still remember the day vividly. I'm with you on the hate thing!

I saw this one while driving home last night. He jumped the fence when I broke the camera out.


I thought that was going to be the best view of him as he was leaving the seen. I was wrong. He had some leaves to feed on in his mind.


Yes, the early turning color leaves.


Then he was casting some nice shadows too.

The fawn was with the doe but is behind the tree to the left side of the photo.

The reddish summer coat looks like it is almost gone on this deer this week. Another sign of fall.
