I wish I could find a link to the articles in the most recent FNAWS Chapter affiliate Newsletter, the Coservation Connection. No luck so far. It had some good articles in it. One was about a study by a U of I grad student that studied the Owyhee bighorns. The amount of cougar depredation that she documented was amazing. Over 50% of the confirmed kills were by cougar. If I find the write up I'll post it.
 
Marv, looks to be an interesting article. I'll have to read it more in depth when I'm not at work.

That sure sucks that voters have said that you can't hunt cougars in the state. It is almost unbelievable that game laws can be voted on by a bunch of idiots with no clue. It happens in this state too, but so far they only outlawed baiting, trapping, and hunting with hounds.
