Busy weekend ......... so far

It has been a busy weekend for us so far. It started Thursday when my daughter-in-law went in for a pregnancy checkup and the doc told her that because of her blood pressure it was time to have a baby, so they checked into the hospital Thursday afternoon. Friday evening still no baby and things were going a bit rough so they had to quickly do a C-section, the baby had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck twice. After some rough nerves everyone seems to be doing fine. Grandchild #5, but granddaughter #1 so we're very excited. It was also my son and DIL's first child. My son looks like he could use a little sleep in this pic and most newborns look about the same to me, but here's Hailey.



Then with it being Memorial Weekend most everyone had some time-off and with one son at the hospital it made for a busy day today on the farm. However, I still managed to get my youngest son out to the shooting range ......... hey, a guy's got to have priorities. I thought this series (the last four pics) of him knocking over one of the plates was kind of cool. Just don't tell my wife there are more gun pics than baby pics.

Congratulations Grandpa! My twin granddaughters had to arrive C-section; quite an ordeal for my DIL but it worked out fine in the end.
That's a beautiful little lady; don't spoil her.
