Bucks and bulls on backpacks

Back at the car with the last load from my first rifle caribou, packed out from 3 miles back in the Alaska Range in 2012.

I was so beat when I got home but I weighed all of it. I was really struggling getting it out, even thought mostly downhill. Adding in my wet boots, clothing, the antlers, optics and rifle was almost 170 lbs.

Those tractor bulls would start to look real appealing after that beating.
