I’ll always cheer for the griz, but it’s going to be a very tough away game for them with how the Cats are playing. It is a game where stats and previous games often don’t matter as much a raw emotion sometime lets the lesser team prevail. If the Cats do come out on top, I hope they take it all the way and win the whole thing. Either way should at least be a really fun first half. Go Griz!

I totally understand. The energy on the locker room for Cat Griz week is totally different than anything else, including any playoff game. With that said, at the end of the day, there players from all towns in Montana playing for both schools (past and present), and with how sports are in Montana, I kinda feel like after the rivalry, it’s us vs. the rest of Country. I love the Griz and will always fly the Griz flag, but if I had to choose between cheering for the Cats or a school from Texas or somewhere else, these days I am cheering for the Cats. But that’s a hypothetical and it’s Griz Cat week so FTC!

Fall of 1983. Four college freshmen traveling from Missoula to Bozeman for Cat-Griz. Open case of beer and a pile of cans on the floor of the backseat. Cop pulls us over for speeding. Looks at the cans. Writes the driver a ticket for $5. Says have fun boys.

Third generation grizzly here. Grew up during the “streak” when the cats couldn’t tie their own shoes. Glad they’ve become competitive and have a great program now. That being said, eat $@!& Cats GO GRIZ GO!
