Don't forget RO drift boats and the BEST hamburger ever( the kitchen sink from Ted's) the best Pizza in the world (Buffalo Bump).

Bozeman is awseome, but with cost of living and all the Californians....... I would still live in Billings because it's closer to the Bighorn.

I am, however in Bozeman enough to go to all these cool places and see their stuff. Plus, on the way there is Dan Bailey's in Livingston.

I wonder if I should have stayed. Lol sure do miss the place but hoping to make a spring bear hunt this next year for a visit!

Seems like that.s the trend as far as a lot of the equipment we use. I would have to choose between Bozeman and Billings. My mom lives in Billings and will be there for a little while, but they are going to retire in Fl. go figure. If I was in the hunting industry I would be that way for sure.
. Don;t forget the "The Garage" , in Bozeman. I love they're pulled pork.

You forgot Schnees, Kenetrek, Tightspot, Sims, and a few more!

Now you're just being greedy...:D

As far as the Californians go, sorry about that...In one way they were smart enough to get out of this pucked up state...Another, not many of them hunt or understand that way of life and in the worst cases take their ideoligies with them...LoL!!! Sorry about that...Now back to what else you guys have....

Montana, especially BozAngeles (bat crap crazy politicians, high cost of living, no access to roosters, too many Subarus) flat out sucks. If you wanna move somewhere really cool - head to Gunnison, Colorado. Spread the word...............

BTW....The (Blgs) Montana Little League all stars just advanced to the U.S. finals in the Little League World Series....pretty cool.

Hell No!!!

We need to convince folks that the entire West sucks and the East is where they want to be. Why is it folks will move to the West, but you never hear of anyone moving to the East?

I hear it's a great place to live if you want to work for californians. Bild their houses, shovel their snow, pour thier cappucino, serve them organic food, take them fly fishing and on wolf tours, grow their pot, etc..

After graduatin my brother an a few of his friends moved to Bozeman. One ended up working at the high end private ski resort (I think it was yellowstone club or something like that), another sells high end windows and doors for expensive homes, my brother worked at selling high end metal roofs and ended up working for the USFS. I think the other friend of his has been going to college up ther for the last 10 years getting masters and phd degrees from the local university, i forget what its called since they dont make it on tv much here for obvious reasons. I don't think any of them make enough money to pay their own rent so they live off their parents. Trusafarians is what I have hear them referred to. I think they just moved up there to get out of the bible belt. None of them even hunt.

BWAHAHAHA That about describes what I've seen.:D

I sure haven't seen sign ANYWHERE in Montana saying "No Cali Money Taken Here"

If it wasn't for outside money, many great towns in Montana would be dying, like many across the west and midwest.

The ranch and farm economy can't sustain local communities anymore, and that's the truth.

Ya - hear ya, Rancho. May not agree about Montana dieing out though to each their own. :)

Good luck in your hunt this year.

Easy there Ranch, all in good fun....I have great friends in MT always fun to tease 'em about the "Fornian's" as they call 'em...

Californians always get lumped in with the southern Californians. If you think Sac or SF is northern Cali your an idiot. I went to high school in a town of 2,000 people and there is not one stop light in the whole county. We grew up 100 miles from the Oregon border in the outdoors and loved every minute listening to my dad and grandpa tell hunting stories. When you think California you think traffic jam, the biggest traffic jam we ever had was when the log truck drivers were going through town at lunch time. Don't miss Cali but do miss my hunting buddies. I don't blame the Montana guys especially when your state is turning into Jackson Hole.

When I was a kid, Bozeman was a 1 light, small cowboy town on the edge of some of the best hunting in MT. Now the property is so expensive, you have to live in Belgrade or Livingston or even farther away! Now, when I take my kids down there to visit family, they laugh at all the Yuppies with their "popped-up collars" and yes, their Subarus and POS Prius's! I'm glad I can say I knew Bozeman when it WAS Bozeman, but it is still a great place to visit with access to a lot of great places and lots of national forest. Now, you just have to look past all of the rude people to find the true Montanans...they're still there...they are just the quiet, unassuming ones trying to make a living.
