Bozeman: is it really that bad anymore?

Have you graced yourself with some time in Miles City? The best (only?) time to be there is coming up.

Yellowstone County accounts is 1.8% of Montana in terms of area, but accounts for 16% of Montana’s population.

I'm sure there's good chicken fried steaks in Billings, but there's too many people there and it takes too damn long to get out of town in most directions.

I find Billings traffic to be easy peasy compared to Bozeman. For many years we lived in Billings Heights. I could leave Billings behind in five minutes, going north.

We bought a home with a small acreage just into Carbon county, fifteen years ago. There is a perceptible difference when you cross paths with other hunters, with a 10 plate, instead of the dreaded 3. Personally speaking, seeing a 6 plate, conjures bad assumptions from me.

There can be a level of entitlement.
I made the mistake of telling a Long Island woman from Bozeman to go home.
I thought i knew every nasty word in the book...🤣

We waited over 2 hours at the Jersey Lily for chicken fried steaks and finally left. You can get poor treatment anywhere in Montana…

Oh hell no! I like hot food and Dave’s chicken almost ruined me last time I was there…I’m sure the Hampton still has that room under construction.

I’m sorry for you like I’m sorry for my friends who don’t drink coffee. I don’t understand you but I’m not judging you. No one has any idea of what other folks may be going through….😏

Dave’s Hot Chicken is what Chick-fil-A wants to be when it grows up.

I wonder what the crime rate is for Bozeman to Billings. We had a pretty good stabbing spree going for awhile in the heights
Billings has the worst crime rate in MT, 1/3 of all criminal cases in the State of Montana are filed in Yellowstone County. Stabbings have gone down, but youth shootings and gang stuff has gone up.

those Dutton Ranch shenanigans really do fly under the radar huh?

Last year I ended up getting a hotel in Miles City. Local drunk at the hotel bar "Built this whole damn town". He was an odd duck to say the least. Him and his workers (3 other guys) sure had a lot of stories. His best "helper" had fingers that looked like they were spaghetti noodles. I swear they'd all been broken in at least 2 spots, and presumably, never splinted.

Just an interesting experience my buddy and I joke about fairly often.
