Boyds makes some nice stuff

I wasn’t satisfied with the stock on my 7-08 (lefty B&C for sale) so I ordered a pretty neat stock from Boyd’s.

It weighs exactly the same as it did before before changing it.

It’s a LH Heritage in XX maple with a custom LOP (13.25), black grip cap, black polymer angled tip, multi-point wraparound checkering, and pillars

I almost ordered that with a 12 3/4. I think the Monte Carlo with a short length of pull would be the cats meow for a kid. I like the way that maple looks even though the kids insisted on laminated. We ordered the orange one as there was a stalemate between the blue and pink.

I’ve always wanted a maple stocked rifle ever since Marlin made their 336c in Curly Maple. It’s my favorite wood

I ordered a (blemished) factory second laminate stock from them. One year into owning it it split along a lamination line. Essentially it cracked between the action screws. They blamed my bedding job and offered me a 10% discount on my next stock from them. I still haven’t fixed it but it’s on my winter project list.

Sorry to derail your thread with this. With the number of stocks Boyd’s puts out there’s bound to be a lemon here and there, just sucks that I got one. Their hardwood stocks like what you got are beautiful! No doubt about it!

I had to open up the barrel channel because it was super tight but other than that this one was a true screw in and go stock.

I'll bed it tonight since it's the end of the week and go shooting.

You need to edit your camera settings, the images came out in reverse. The bolt is on the wrong side of the rifle.

All jokes aside, that's a beautiful gun.
