Boyds makes some nice stuff

Late again. Beautiful rifle op. I ordered a Spike Camp (thumb hole design) for a cheap Savage Axis. Santa brought it last night and I put it on this afternoon. Liking it so far.

I had a spike camp walnut on a remington 700 and I liked it a lot as well. I reshaped the forend though so it wasn’t as bulky

Those At-One stocks look like the cats meow.
I put one on my daughters 7X57 Mauser build.

The plastic on the wrist & forestock are kinda narrow & sharp edged.
They offer a set that is "fuller" and more rounded.
But costs more.
Instead of keeping the price the same & just installing the different plastic, they send you both sets.

There is someone making a bag rider and a 3" wide forestock piece for a front rest.
I'd have to do some digging to find the info.

I really like the thumbhole Boyds gunstocks (Spike Camp, Featherweight and Varmint). Have them on 2 of my rifles have another for an Axis but don't have an Axis at the moment (traded it in for a Ruger). My next Boyds purchase will probably be a Featherweight Thumbhole for a Winchester XPR 30-06 I have. I like my XPR less the cheap Tupperware stock it comes with.

The biggest thing that I recommend is always pay the extra for the pillar bedding. That seems to be the key to avoiding a lot of the laminate splitting issues.

Aside from Boyds stocks the other aftermarket stock I really like is the Magpul Hunter stock. Have them on my Ruger Americans'.
