Boise 70.3

Good Luck Moosie! A little crisco on the thighs helps keep things from chafing. ;)

Water is 53 Degrees. I went up yesterday evening to do a few "laps". Funny how NO ONE else was in the Lake.....
That's the real reason why I didn't meet you out there yesterday, Moosie. I do my best to avoid water that cold.

Good luck tomorrow. I might head down to the run with the kids to heckle all you racers.

Dude... Stop by the Aid station at the Firemans Memorial and ask for Moosies Family. They will hook your kids up with some hotdogs....

Go late, It will take me a while to get there :(

OHHHhhhhh.... I have my Sence of humor. I'm only running this race to take pictures for my fans. At registration today I almost bought this hat. Do you think it would make me faster ?

I know this outfit makes me faster....

You have fans? Lol....

Drop it like it's hot........

I checked the thread to see how you did and you are still running. They usually start those in the morning around here so it doesn't get too hot before you finish. Got up to 102 today here.

How do you have the runkeeper track your swim? How does the battery on your phone last this long?

This is the only triathlon I know of with an afternoon start. It's been that way three years in a row now. Rumor was some group got upset about closing the roads in the morning in downtown Boise the first year, so they changed it.

Hmmmm... no updates from Moosie on here this afternoon. How disappointing. Thought for sure he'd stop along the way to login and provide HuntTalkers with a status report and goofy photo. :D

So I didn't use the Tracker for the Swim. I will next year if i do it. I did Use it for the Bike and the Run. My battery finally died at Mile 11. Only 2 miles short of tracking it all. I'll hae 2 batteries next year.

Last year I did 7h18mins this year I did 6H28 Mins.

I have a crap load of pictures (Like Always) but am slow going getting them up. I haven't even looked at most yet.

Not sure if anyone here knows Dwight Schuh ? But his Daughter Emily had given me a Friend request on FaceBook and even without meeting her she knew who I was from the Robie creek race Forums. What can I say.... I'm a memorable guy, eh ?

When I came through the Finish line she snapped pictures of me thinking it must be Oscar "Moosie" Williamson by how the Crowd got loud. I was rasing the Roof, and working the croud. It made a Rumble fo' sho' ...hehe.

Here is a link to some of her pics of me :

Here was my time. I feel pretty good about the swim and Bike. I faked my way through the run.

SWIM: 37:23
T-1: 6:31
BIKE: 3:10:04
T-2: 5:04
RUN: 2:29:46

Bear with me and you'll get some more pictures soon!!!!

Thanks all that followed me and Watched me online. Cameron Haynes sent me probably one of the most inspiring messages (Besides Big Fin ;) ) to me and knowing you were all there made a big difference :

Moosie, you probably won't see this unless you check in before your race...early in the a.m. If that is when you are reading this...it's time buddy. Time to get busy and bring it!!! Know I will be following along live. Think about that. I... sure did last year at the Western States 100...I knew people were tracking me and knew how long I was in aid stations...this knowledge actually had a positive impact on me. I knew I wasn't only letting myself down if I slowed but my friends and family would be wondering where the heck I was, how I was doing? Use this as strength...we will be right there with you. The pain is temporary and we are capable of so much more that we know...we just have to use our full ability...some discomfort be damned. By evening time, you will be sipping a beer and downing a greasy burger, how bad can it be? You can handle any challenge for a few hours. Good luck my friend. Cam

Great job O. I wish I could have followed you but I was getting punished by a bunch of 20 and 30 some year olds on a century ride at the time you were out. Thank goodness for celebrex

Damn! I was getting worried by this afternoon. My runner type daughter had all of these words of wisdom for me to give you, but obviously I am 'puter illerate.Glad to see you are still among us. Way to go!!!!!

Congats dude you killed it this year. Maybe you should train less and do better every year.
