Seems like if you have to ask it's almost always a black bear.

Same thing I say when someone in MN says coyote or wolf. If it is a wolf, you won't have to ask....

Oh man, you might be right! Some guy at the bar recently told me about his friend’s uncle’s friend who knew another guy that told him a scientist said two of these color phase pandas escaped from the zoo and that they’ve been multiplying. Dude had a camo hoodie on and seemed pretty legit.

To be fair, anyone afield would have more time to ID the animal than a single frame photo of it quartering away there.

If anyone still thought it was a griz after a good long look there’s be a spared wet-sow boo-boo for the rest of the expert bear hunters out here.

Seemed to me the ears were simply to rounded to be a grizzly.
