Bird dog update

Jaeger is now 17 months old. She's had a couple of nice days already this fall, but today was special. Worked a covey of prox. 200 birds with wild flushes so numerous I couldn't count. I shot seven birds that she pointed like this'n.

You must have a pretty good hunting spot to have seen that many birds!!! I can't even imagine where that would be.

Great experience for a young dog. Lots of huge coveys this year. I saw about 300 quail a week ago and wasn't even hunting them. I think I'll save them for about another month before we go after them. I had a couple hundred chukars to deal with last Friday.

I've had similar lines in my last 5 GSHP's. I went searching and found a fellow in Boise that does some careful and selective breeding. I'll dig out his number and PM you.
