Bighorn Ram Hunt Today

I've not yet drawn a permit to hunt these guys. They live only a few miles from my home here in Chelan County, Washington. My wife spotted them, and I closed in on foot for a few photos:

I may never draw that "once in a lifetime" tag, but if I do, I'm pretty sure the ol' 30-06 and I could manage just fine.

Ya, I've reconciled myself to the probability that I'll never be drawn, so I'm satisfied with my camera hunts.

I'll keep applying for a few more years, maybe until I'm 70 or so.

I’m hoping that now that I’ve moved the family to MT, maybe we can at least draw an ewe tag. Great photos and thanks for sharing!

Great photos, I was the same, I just accepted the fact that I’d never hunt sheep. What a shock when I drew a Montana tag this year after 30 years of applying in multiple states. KEEP AFTER IT!!
