This is a great thread! I've enjoyed looking at everyone's trophies. Here's my contribution.
Shiras Moose taken on the last day of the season in 1969. I tracked him down in Beaver Creek near Quake Lake, MT. Shot him with my 7mm. He had a 47" spread but not much for palms.
This is probably the best non-typical mule deer I've taken. Didn't ever score him. Shot him with my 7mm near Wolf Creek, MT in 1976.
This will always be one of my favorite whitetails even though I've shot a few that are bigger. He was my first buck with my bow and I ambushed him on the ground near my home outside Helena, MT in 2003.
Had to use an outfitter on this general season hunt in Wyoming's Absoroka Wilderness near Cody. One of the most exciting hunts ever because I spotted this 6 by 7 bull miles away, heading up the watershed toward the Yellowstone Park boundary. He was trying to sneak back in after the storm. We moved quickly and intercepted him at 9500' elevation, a few hundred yards from the boundary, where I made one shot at 80-yards with my 338 win mag and dropped him. October 18, 2006 - Grossed 365" b&c.
October 12, 1967 - stalked close enough to this 9 7/8" billy to throw a rock at him so he would stand up for me to shoot him with my 7mm. I was in the Gates of the Mountains area near Helena, MT
