Leupold BX-4 Rangefinding Binoculars

Big Ones (OTC, Pic Heavy)

Here is the buck dad got on BLM in 1987. thirty four inch 7 by 9 that is well over 200. The number of big deer the eighty's was incredible, but 87 was the best. I can think of several others taken that year that were as good or better than dads.

The sad thing is I can remember back in the 80's day dreaming about Dad's stories of hunting in the 60's and early 70's. I didn't know how good I had it. It has been almost ten years since I have had a chance at a buck on public like to the ones I posted up.

Man those are some awesome bucks - with all the stories I hear and old pics, it makes me sad to think that I never was able to experience the good ol' Custer days

Bottom picture above was about the worst night of packing elk ever for me. Hypothermia would have got me had it not been for a smart friend of mine, Peter. He doesn’t hunt but liked to tag along on the more adventurous outings. Here’s Peter with an elk I shot in 2005 in MT, general season national forest.
