I tarp mainly for the awning in front. Cook stove and wash station out there along with coolers and wood. I tarp the sides of the awning and half the front and it's a nice wind free area. Light indoor/outdoor carpet makes it really nice inside. I put a 6x8 welding cloth under the wood stove to catch any embers that fall out and dirt or bark from the wood. It makes for really easy clean up too. The folks at Davis are amazing. They were truly helpful and great to deal with. I 2nd the mouse trap too!

I'm a light sleeper and spent a long week with mice running around on the tarp floor all night. I also carry traps and now I just wake to the snap, smile and go back to sleep.
